When questions abound, you want experience answering them. GuideStone has been around for 90 years, providing quality investment products and services to our participants.
Over the last nine decades GuideStone has stood strong through Depression, world and regional wars, terrorism at home and abroad, and political and economic uncertainties. This strength continues as we weather the current financial conditions.
GuideStone has prepared for times like these: We have enough money in reserves to weather these economic storms while keeping our promises to our participants. We’ve never missed an annuity payment, and our annuitants don’t need to fear that their payments are in any danger.
Our Mission:Dignity recipients can rest assured that the generous gifts and endowments of their fellow Southern Baptists ensure that the benefit payments will continue uninterrupted. In fact, despite the current economic malaise, Mission:Dignity recipients as of Nov. 1, 2008 will receive a special $200 Christmas check. (We know that these are uncertain times, but nothing makes us feel more content than giving. If you would like to help our retired Southern Baptist ministers and their widows, consider making a secure tax-deductible, online donation.)
Chief Operating Officer John R. Jones told trustees in November that GuideStone is making the necessary adjustments to make sure it continues to provide the best customer service.
“In each area of our operations we are aggressively managing costs as we seek to hold down expenses in these difficult times,” Jones said. “In the midst of this financial crisis, we are committed to providing superior customer service, which is our number one business driver.”

Always remember that in the middle of uncertain times, GuideStone has prepared for this possibility and has taken positive steps to ensure the future of this company and our participants. But most importantly, we trust that God is bigger than circumstances and is always in control.
